Maitena Salinas Beiztegi is a journalist and actress. As a journalist specialising in human rights, she has worked in this field for two decades collaborating on various projects and initiatives, among others, she forms part of the Argituz association and of the team investigating political violence in the Towards a Shared Memory reports. She directed the documentary, Gea, in which the situation of women of various ages is analysed from a feminist perspective. She has been collaborating for twenty-five years on radio and television analysing society from a gender-perspective and promoting the need for human rights education. She thinks that climate change has to be studied using various approaches that of course include the aforementioned. To this end she uses communication as an effective tool for a positive transformation of society, in which everybody will play an active responsible part.
