Eskura finalising preparations in light of the first edition of the International Seminar on Human Rights Educational Resources
Once the Basque government, the District Council of Gipuzkoa and the San Sebastián Cityhall signed the agreement, the Centre was operational in early August.
As per announced by the sponsoring institutions, the main initiatives during the pilot phase include the organisation of an international seminar and a resource fair, along with the creation of a media library that gathers various educational materials . The first edition of the International Seminar on Human Rights Educational Resources is just around the corner.
The theme of this first edition is MIGRATIONS. The Basque society and the entire world are faced with significant conundrums and issues that impact the well-being of individuals. We must reflect and take action while considering human rights as the fundamental basis that ensures respect for human dignity.
The event will take place on 20 and 21 February in Aiete and San Telmo Museoa. The following educational resources will be presented: campaigns, a photography exposition, a documentary, among others. Their corresponding authors, both national and international, will be present throughout the 2-day event.
The program is mainly aimed at trainers, teachers, human rights activists and communication professionals. However, activities are open to all interested individuals upon prior registration in order to ensure seating.
